Massage therapy often gets simplified as just a way to relax muscles or relieve pain. Yet, my approach goes beyond that. I combine science-based methods, somatic awareness, and Reiki to create a truly holistic experience. This integration supports not only physical healing but also emotional balance.
How Science Shapes My Practice
Science-based manual techniques form the foundation of my work. I use myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, DermoNeuroModulation, Ortho-Bionomy to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Understanding how the nervous system responds to touch allows me to manipulate the soft tissue in the way to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and lowering stress hormones.
The Role of Somatic Awareness
Somatic work focuses on the body’s internal experience. I guide clients to focus on sensation in their body, such as warmth, texture, and shapes, and monitor the subtle changes. This awareness helps release tension and also traumas stored not just in muscles but in the nervous system and emotional memory, thus deepening the healing effect.
Reiki as a Complement
Reiki adds another layer to the holistic approach. Reiki treatment is facilitated by a practitioner who receives Reiki energy from the Universe, which in turn flows through his/her body. Then, the recipient's natural healing process is reactivated in result. Reiki work is less measurable by conventional science, but many clients report feeling peaceful, lighter, and more grounded after sessions.
Although Reiki session is offered separately from a massage session, you can request to receive a combined session with a massage.
Bringing It All Together
Combining these approaches creates a powerful synergy. Holistic manual therapy is not just about fixing symptoms but about restoring balance on every level. If you are curious about how this integrated approach can support your health and wellness, I encourage you to experience a session.
