I have been practicing Tai Chi since 2018 and teaching for the last 3 years. It promotes flexibility and prevents falls. I've been enjoying Tai Chi more than any other low-impact exercises. It's slow paced and calming. It's called "meditation in motion." I like the fact that you don't have to sit and meditate, which I'm not good at. Instead, you can meditate while moving. I also like the physical side of it: it has strengthened my leg muscles because the foundation of Tai Chi is in the legs.
My adult and young students with ADHD told me that Tai Chi helped them to focus, and more importantly, they really enjoyed it. Each arm and leg moves differently, so it improves coordination significantly. Studies show that it benefits cognitive health.
Tai Chi is not just for older people. I would highly recommend it to anyone at any age who would like to slow down and enjoy a calming effect.
I offer a private Tai Chi lesson for people who are new to Tai Chi in Titusville, FL. For more information, click here or contact me at 310-936-0284.
