Therapeutic Massage

My goal is to improve your quality of life, including pain management, recovery from injury and surgery and better mobility. Our session is a joint work between you and me, so I will help you achieve your goal and get back to doing what you enjoy.

What is My Massage Session Like?

I start with thorough intake each time before your massage to understand your concerns and needs. I will spend a full hour (if an hour massage) for a massage. I work on muscles and the fascia to release restrictions and pain. If your nervous system is hypersensitive, I use other techniques to calm down the nervous system first. Do I do a deep tissue massage? Please read my blog. I encourage you during the session to be mindful about your body to further experience benefits of massage. After your massage, I will give you feedback and self-care tips that you can do at home between the sessions.

Reiki

​What is Reiki?

Reiki is universal natural energy existing in all living beings. Reiki also refers to a healing method originated in Japan. Reiki flows through a practitioner's hands to your body and helps improve your body and mind. I use Reiki as an additional safe tool for stress and pain management. Since there is no side effect, Reiki works well alongside medical treatments such as chemotherapy and helps the recovery process.

How does Reiki feel?

The hands are placed lightly on a few areas of your clothed body for a long period. You may feel warmth, other sensation, or not at all. It is relaxing, and many people fall asleep.

Who Should Get Reiki?

Anybody. It also works for those who have mental or emotional problems such as depression and anxiety. Reiki is not a religion or a belief system, but a method. It is open to anybody to receive and learn.

Private Tai Chi Lessons
for Beginners

Tai Chi is the lowest impact exercise and known for strengthening your body and improving your balance and flexibility but it also benefits your cognitive and mental health. You can practice Tai Chi anywhere because you don't need to lie down on the ground.

 

I offer private lessons for those who are new to Tai Chi with step by step instructions at your own pace, so you will learn with confidence and comfort! ​
